I also get this same problem. When starting arista-gtk and clicking any
of the icons on the main window, or selecting "create conversion",
either on the window or on the menu (File), I get the same trace:

This is after installing arista using Software Center.
I'll mark this bug as confirmed as it now affects multiple users. I'll
set importance to high, even though arista is not a core application,

dependencies broken or ineffective
