Public bug reported: New clean install of 11.10 x86 Desktop.
No sound with Audigy 2 ZS sound card after install. Setting the proper configuration using System Setting / Sound did not properly enable sound on system. Installed gnome-alsamixer but it would not launch. Installed and ran command line alsamixer and properly set configuration.
