Public bug reported:

I am facing an issue while booting to Ubuntu 11.10 from last 2 weeks.
I have AMD turion ML 30 ( 64 bit) processor and 1.5 GB RAM.

Ubuntu 11.10 is in dual boot with Windows 7.

The moment Ubuntu 11.10 is booted and desktop appears, the CPU
utilization goes to 100% ( as per the system monitor icon on system
tray). After this the system freezes !!

I face this problem everyday and even after restarted 5-10 times it
persists, but anytime out of the blue it starts working. Once it got
freezed while I was working ( after 1-2 hours of booting)

Interestingly, windows 7 doesnt show any problem and it works fine
without any complains

I couldnt use ubuntu-bugs to raise this bug because I cannot access my
desktop as of now.

I am not sure which more information could be useful here.

I have clicked a picture of the moment when screen was freeze. Somehow I was
able to go to console mode and show this.
I have attached the image.
