Public bug reported:
Hi, I'm linux user but have not to much experience with it. I would like to
report what I think is a bug, but I not sure if it's a real bug.
I'm not sure if is it the right channel to report such a think either. Although
I computer person this is not my field, sorry about my English too, I'm
Brazilian.
Well since I installed Ubuntu 11.10 at my laptop Dell Latitude D630 2 GB ram It
seems to be very "heave and slow" Ram usage is very low, not even goes to swap
and CPU usage is low too, This equipment is dual core.
I have a tough could be something related to Video because it overheating all
time near of Video components panel (on Dell Latitude it is locate under the
power button almost)
So last night instead power off as usually I let it on sleep mode, this morning
when I start use had notice it was way much slow.
Once I could not click anything because mouse did not respond I tried
ctrl+alt+F2 in order to jump to a non graphic session and
check system resources. When I found this message in eternal looping "cannot
set freq 16000 to ep 0x86"
All sessions show same message.
Hope it reach ubuntu team that work problems like this and so users like me can
have the best of Linux to use.
regards
Alex
