Can we get a /var/log/Xorg.0.log here? 2 GPU drivers being loaded in
dmesg (intel and nvidia binary drivers), most likely the intel is being
used since you're getting the nvidia errors and the displayport will
only work if you are using the nvidia on both of these machines because
the digital outputs are physically wired only to that GPU. Having nvidia
installed while you are using the intel will cause all kinds of
problems. You have to pick discrete mode in the bios to use the nvidia.
