Public bug reported:
I realize hearnet is not Canonically-supported :D but suffice it to say, in
trying to compile it, I discovered an apparent problem with jack.pc. I tried to
troubleshoot this with the developer but had no luck. Long story short, the
error shows by g++ suggests missing symbols in the libraries but nm shows the
symbols are there. Also, without pkg-config, the code compiles fine. It seems
the only logical conclusion is that there is something amiss with jack.dev.
