** Description changed: - I realize hearnet is not Canonically-supported :D but suffice it to say, in trying to compile it, I discovered an apparent problem with jack.pc. I tried to troubleshoot this with the developer but had no luck. Long story short, the error shows by g++ suggests missing symbols in the libraries but nm shows the symbols are there. Also, without pkg-config, the code compiles fine. It seems the only logical conclusion is that there is something amiss with jack.dev.
