I can imagine a relationship between the unnamed filter and the broken PDF,
even so I am not really sure it is really connected.
I cannot believe the missing filter is related to the hplip version, however.
The driver should not be involved in the file export at all. Does saving in
other formats still work? Could you did into that a little bit deeper?
