Public bug reported:

When searches are performed in the Search (Find) window, a list of the
old searches is available by clicking the "drop down" (sorry, don't know
the technical term) next to the combo box. In past releases I could
select a previous search and it would automatically fill in the
"Search:" text field with that old text. Now it simply dismisses the
history and retains whatever characters were in the "Search:" text
field. Note that I am running LXDE as part of Lubuntu 11.10, so that
could possibly be involved.
