Does the scan always hang or only sometimes? CurrentDmesg.txt contains several sessions of the scanner being connected via 1394 (and maybe via USB in between). In the first session, but not in any subsequent ones, is a SCSI read transaction time-out logged. That time-out was unrecoverable, hence the kernel's SCSI core took the device offline. Basically the 1394 firmware of the scanner became unresponsive. The subsequent sessions do not show any sign of problems in the kernel log.
Is SimpleScanLog.txt from the first session or from a later one? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/577746 Title: Simple Scan freeze with ieee1394 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/simple-scan/+bug/577746/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
