I'm sorry, I couldn't find a /etc/default/grub file. Anyway, the grub menu entries for recovery mode don't contain these options. Booting in recovery mode fails, too. Also, I couldn't find any messages about the encryption password. (That might be due to them scrolling by too fast, though. Is there some way I can log the output to some file on the /boot partition?)
I used 3.0.0.13-generic (the latest kernel from the package repository) and 3.1.0-030100rc10-generic for testing. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/883820 Title: splash screen doesn't display on kernels newer than 2.6.31-22 => can not enter disk decryption password To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/883820/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
