This is also happening to me, Tomboy will crash several times a day. This only started happening to me after I upgraded to 11.10
I have started it from the command line with --debug but the funny thing is that it doesn't crash anymore but I get this error "Error saving note" and it mentions disk space and permissions, still have plenty of disk save and permissions are fine as the notes will save most of the time.
