r818x does not work under Ubuntu 7.04 either (Feisty Fawn). It scans
well APs, but when I try to connect to mine, it simply does not. I
cannot tell what the problem is ready syslog.
Using ndiswrapper on another laptop, I get it working, but only for 10
minutes, after which the card resets itself indefinitely and only a
reboot can fix this.
But I successfully got this card working all the time using ndiswrapper
under FC5, kernel 2.6.16-1.2122_FC5. Not even a more recent version of
the FC5 kernel worked.
