When logging in from LightDM login screen I sometimes do not see the correct desktop icons. I see what look like icons of blank sheets of paper. They never get corrected. At the same time, and again this does not always occur, the icons in the top panel default to looking similar to those used in Karmic. In order to correct this I have to logout and back in. When I do this everything loads as normal: desktop icons and top panel icons. The icons I currently have on my desktop are as follows: [1] Two PDF files (not shortcuts) [2] One ODS file (not a shortcut) [3] One XLS file (not a shortcut) [4] One folder (not a shortcut) The nature of the files to which the icons belong does not appear to be of significance in the issue since if I change them to be, say, all of a particular file type the same issue intermittently rears its head. I've also investigated the possibility that it could be an issue of timing: i.e. logging in literally the very second LightDM is presented then seeing what happens if I leave it a minute or two before logging in.
