Public bug reported:
Whenever (re)installing Packagekit, I keep on getting the following:
Setting up packagekit (0.7.1-1) ...
Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.TimedOut: Activation of
org.freedesktop.PackageKit timed out
Sure enough, during normal utilization, a similar error appears, such as
when running "apt-get update":
Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.NoReply: Did not receive a reply.
Possible causes include: the remote application did not send a reply,
the message bus security policy blocked the reply, the reply timeout
expired, or the network connection was broken.
Dbus runs as expected for other applications, so I suspect that this
newer Precise packagekit version is to blame, since everything works
fine on my Oneiric hosts.
