Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
I assume a menu bar is extended on the bottom of the desktop. You want this
menu bar on the left of the screen so right-click on it, properties and select
left in orientation.
The menu bar is now on the left extended or not, like you wish, of the desktop,
but when you logout/in, the menu bar stays vertical (like if it was on the left
of the desktop) but in the middle of the screen and not on the left of the
desktop. It happens when the menu bar is extended or not.
