Issue occurs in a guest session as well.

Some more details I seem to have missed communicating earlier:
* After the freeze, only Ctrl+Alt+Fn work from the keyboard (switch to another 
VT) - nothing else does
* Menus also don't work (selecting a menu doesn't result in a drop-down)
* Reproduction requires selecting the terminal window's submenu and selecting 
from it (Terminal was first pegged to the launcher)

As already mentioned above - I am willing to help with actual debugging,
if you just point me at relevant tools... (My expertise is with kernel /
embedded programming, not this GUI stuff)
