Understood. It is just correct practice to get feedback from the person
who created the bug. That's because very often the people subscribing to
a bug logged by someone else actually have a different issue, and it
takes a long time to realize.

I'm not saying that's definitely the case here. But correct practice is
to get final confirmation from the bug reporter.
