The -f switch makes rdesktop for full-screen. When your computer
"freezes" it's actually only rdesktop. You can kill it from another
session by, for example, pressing Ctl+Alt+F5 and logging in then running
"pkill rdesktop" and pressing Ctl+Alt+F7 to get back to your Gnome
desktop.
