Please close this bug. After further investigation (booting up from a Ubuntu Live CD or Knoppix or Windows the same error occured) the laptop seems to be defect. Inserting my HDD to another laptop showed clearly that the system is stable and fully operational. So it's not related to apcid or a faulty update.
