Public bug reported:
Ever since the upgrade to precise my wireless card has delivered wildly
inconsistent speeds. It can fluctuate quite quickly between full normal
speed and practically nothing. There is no interference that I'm aware
of, and it doesn't happen in any other OSes that I'm aware of (Oneiric
or Windows).
Interesting to note is that Network Manager is aware of the fluctuation:
In the "Connection Information" panel the "Speed" field is 54 Mb/s
normally, but fluctuates to 11 Mb/s or so in time with the actual data
rate.
