Public bug reported:
When doing an install I have noticed in 11.10 (and in Precise) that the
little arrow expander dialog will not show progress of the install
throughout the entire install and actually stops showing the progress at
the very start of an install.
This could be troubling because this provides insight as to how the
install is progressing and if a install hangs there is no way for a user
to provide diagnostic information such as errors or where it hung by
looking at the details expander.
