This seems something to do with Openoffice and Compiz. It just occurred again with banshee not on, when I clicked on a footnote in my paper.
If I open in terminal, and scroll over a footnote, I get the following in terminal: /$ compiz --replace WARNING: Application calling GLX 1.3 function "glXCreatePixmap" when GLX 1.3 is not supported! This is an application bug! WARNING: Application calling GLX 1.3 function "glXDestroyPixmap" when GLX 1.3 is not supported!
