Public bug reported:

ntfsck should be linked to fsck.ntfs and probably to fsck.ntfs-3g.
the problem is that if in fstab there's an ntfs partition (terrible, yes, but 
reality and still not forbidden) the mountall attempts to call fsck.ntfs misses 
it (because it's called ntfsck) and stops the boot process with something like 
"severe error checking disk - go manual"
