I'm not sure if this is same as bug 838128. Before I started to reproduce this bug, I removed ~/.xsession-errors and /var/log/Xorg.0.log, then I reproduced the bug, then tried to open ~/.xsession-errors and /var/log/Xorg.0.log, but the files were not even created. So I looked at the /var/log/syslog, what I saw clearly is that every time I unplug/plug the external monitor cable, I can see the message: xxxxxxxxxxxxx kernel: [xxxxxxxx] [drm:pch_irq_handler] *ERROR* PCH poison interrupt
However I see the same error message as bug 838128 in the old .xsession- errors I saved. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/882479 Title: [Inspiron N4050, Vostro 1450, Vostro V131] Compiz works unnormally after external VGA connected.
