I've compared PCI information, so I believe I have identical hardware.
I'm using a clean x86_64 Precise install from Dec 13. I've tested
against these access points:

WRT310 N (2.4 Ghz)
WNDR 3300 G
Atheros MIPS AGN (2.4 Ghz)

The Linksys E3000 that you are using is capable of dual band (2.4 Ghz
and 5 Ghz). I suggest you configure it to only operate in BG mode (2.4
Ghz) without N enabled to see if that makes a difference. The RTL8188CE
wifi adapter is only capable of operating in 2.4 Ghz.
