Hello Pedro ! I can verify the problem but NOT its solution with a virtualized Oneiric Live-CD:
Burning the ISO image with Brasero + wodim and verifying the md5sum for the CD leads to: md5sum: /dev/sr1: Input/output error Doing the same thing with Brasero + Brandon Snider's cdrecord also leads to: md5sum: /dev/sr1: Input/output error Afterwards I burned the ISO on - the not virtualized - Lucid again and it still works fine, i.e. correct checksum.
