I would actually like to reopen this bug, because the egalax driver is superior to the official driver used in the official ubuntu release as it allows the rotation of the touch input along with the screen rotation, something that the official kernel driver will not do. so if i actually want to use the t101mt touchscreen in a rotated state, i have to use the egalax driver.
i have added the maintainer of the egalax driver (plippo) to the bug report so that he may fix it. i hope that is an acceptable procedure... anyhow, the main problem is that the hid_egalax module prevents the suspend process from happening. here's a short excerpt of the /var/log /pm-suspend.log file: /usr/lib/pm-utils/sleep.d/75modules hibernate hibernate: not applicable.
