Seems like a user configuration issue to me. To clarify the issue
further, could you follow these steps and see if you get the same issue
again?
1) Run unity --reset and unity --reset-icons
2) Open the Dash and drag and drop the Terminal icon into the launcher
3) Open a terminal window from the launcher icon that you've placed
4) Press and hold super, see if it works this time.
