Intel is no longer maintaining the 3945 driver. However, you might try
newer upstream wireless releases by installing a compat-wireless
package. You can get a list of available choices thusly:
apt-cache search linux-backports-modules-compat-wireless
For example:
sudo apt-get install linux-backports-modules-compat-wireless-2.6.39
-maverick-generic
