I don't know why you would consider this an "opinion".  It may not be a
high-priority bug to fix, but it is a nuisance to users that they have
to take an extra step to un-set tags in cases when we can pretty
reliably tell that they'll be wrong.

If we can tell the page language (for instance, via http headers or meta
tags), gourmet ought to not attempt autodetection.
