This problem does not occur with Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric. The problem with earlier versions may be because eSpeak is looking for the mbrola voice files in the wrong location. Try moving or copying the voice file /usr/share/mbrola/us1/us1 to /usr/share/mbrola/voices/us1
Alternatively, use eSpeak version 1.45.04 or later, from the Ubuntu Oneiric repository, or from http://espeak.sourceforge.net ** Changed in: espeak (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Fix Released -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/814952 Title: MBROLA voices are too low To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/espeak/+bug/814952/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
