I am using 12.10 Precise. I logged in and saw that the LightDM theme was still active. I gave the Gnome-settings daemon time to activate as it sometimes corrects itself. I then got the Gnome-settings-daemon has closed unexpectedly message. I upgraded the relevant library (libgdk- pixbuf2.0-0) and logged out and back in to re-start the Gnome-settings daemon which seemed to fix the problem.
I opened Chromium and was reading the BBC news website when the ubuntu- sso-login closed unexpectedly messaged appeared. I was not attempting to use the Ubuntu single sign-on function at the time. My system has ubuntu-sso-client 1.4.0-0ubuntu1 which Synaptic lists as the latest version. This is the first time that ubuntu-sso-login has closed unexpectedly since I started using precise development branch (pre-alpha 1) and I use 12.10 as my daily work install. I did not have any difficulty signing on to this site. I am attaching the sso-client log file. ** Attachment added: "sso-client.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-sso-client/+bug/631865/+attachment/2642612/+files/sso-client.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/631865 Title: ubuntu-sso-login crashed with DBusException in __new__() To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-sso-client/+bug/631865/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
