First to test the latest upstream kernels: v3.2-rc6, which can be found at: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.2-rc6-precise/ I expect the bug to exist there. If it does, I will provide a version of that kernel with the commit reverted, just to confirm in fact that is the cause of this bug.
