Public bug reported:
I was installing Ubuntu 12.04 Alpha in a virtual machine using
VirtualBox version 4.1.8 with a host OS of Debian Linux 6 (64 bit). The
installer seemed to be functioning perfectly fine until almost the end
when I was informed it crashed. I downloaded the ISO on 22 December
2011 and used the Desktop CD ISO to install from.
