I am sorry but I don't see it as fixed, I still have this exact problem
on my Lucid 10.04.3
# dpkg -l | grep firmware-addon
ii firmware-addon-dell 2.1.0-0ubuntu2
A firmware-tools plugin to handle BIOS/Firmw
is the new fixed package mentionned commited in the repository ?
