Workaround from
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/856314/comments/10:

1. Build and install STA driver from
http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php
hybrid-portsrc_x86_64-v5_100_82_112.tar.gz
2. Add the following two lines at the end of your
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf file
blacklist bcma
blacklist brcmsmac
3. Create file /etc/pm/config.d/config with one line:
SUSPEND_MODULES="$SUSPEND_MODULES brcmsmac"
4. reboot
