I do not know for the wifi part, but using a webcam on a multicore
system (here a i7 980X) with any of cheese, gmail+ video plugins in
mozilla, or even skype, ends up with first some locking in the
video+audio/application then a full system crash. It's rather "random":
can happen after a few seconds of visio-call or after a fifteen or more
minutes.

It does not happen on true monocore system (here a old AMD 3500+).

Looks like the webcam driver (if any) has a concurrency issue with
something in the kernel. It might ends up corrupting the wifi part in
the way to the total destruction of the kernel data.
