I'm getting this bug on 4.12.0-0ubuntu1.1. The 2D launcher is not auto- hiding and is obstructing some important elements. I do have a fullscreen app on one of the workspaces, maybe that is confusing it. Either way, it's pretty annoying and hindersome.
