Dmesg shows suspicious messages about Device 0000:06:00.0:

[ 3114.272043] pci_legacy_suspend(): ahci_pci_device_suspend+0x0/0x88 [ahci]
returns -5
[ 3114.272050] pm_op(): pci_pm_freeze+0x0/0xa0 returns -5
[ 3114.272055] PM: freeze of drv:ahci dev:0000:06:00.0 complete after 5110.043
msecs
[ 3114.272058] PM: Device 0000:06:00.0 failed to freeze async: error -5

lspci shows:

06:00.0 SATA controller [0106]: JMicron Technology Corp. JMB360 AHCI Controller
[197b:2360] (rev ff) (prog-if ff)
        !!! Unknown header type 7f
        Kernel driver in use: ahci

But from hexr, this device doesn't show up in 10.10 and 11.04 instances
of this same machine.

Also, from Lenovo's BIOS release notes for SL410
(http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc/pccbbs/mobiles/6juj20uc.txt),
it mentions:

Version 1.46 (BIOS ID: 6JET88WW) [for BIOS ID 6Jxxxxxx-based computer]
------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Problem fixes]
- Fixed an issue that might fail to go into standby/sleep state or resume normal
  operation from standby/sleep state.

I think it's worthwhile to upgrade the BIOS to this version and re-test.
