Hi, I have more info:
- I am running my Ubuntu in a Dell C400 laptop which is connected to a docking station - It has a touchpad. This is the output from dmesg: [17179601.092000] Synaptics Touchpad, model: 1, fw: 5.7, id: 0x9b46b1, caps: 0x804793/0x0 - This morning I decided to test an old Microsoft usb IntelliMouse Explorer. At the beginning, I couldn't get it working when I plugged it to the laptop's usb port or to one of the two in the docking station. To be sure that nothing was wrong with the laptop's usb port, I connected my Sandisk Cruzer micro flash memory. It worked perfectly. Then and only then, the IntelliMouse started working when I plugged it to the usb port. This is the lsusb output with the IntelliMouse connected: Bus 001 Device 003: ID 045e:0047 Microsoft Corp. IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 - With the hope of seeing my MouseTrapper working again, I replaced the IntelliMouse with the MouseTrapper. This is the output of lsusb without any of them: Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 And this is lsusb's output when I connected my MouseTrapper: Bus 001 Device 007: ID 0d24:0004 Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000 It didn't work. I checked dmesg and it starts giving out messages like this: (a lot of them) usb 1-1: new low speed USB device using uhci_hcd and address 19 [17181156.680000] usb 1-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice [17181156.696000] input: Trapper Data AB MouseTrapper Electronic as /class/input/input144 [17181156.696000] input: USB HID v1.10 Mouse [Trapper Data AB MouseTrapper Electronic] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-1 [17181157.772000] usb 1-1: USB disconnect, address 19 I thought all this might be interesting for you to know.
