In order to see switch of kerner versions hold SHIFT during boot.
I had 3.0 kerner and my touchpad was discovered (xinput list) like ImPS/2 ALPS
GlidePoint. Now I have installed 3.2 kernel:

and now touchpad is discovered as PS/2 Generic Mouse:
