SergeyS:
Normally depmod is run when a new kernel or new kernel modules are installed
(actually I believe it happens when the kernel is booted) to work out the
dependencies between all the kernel modules that can be loaded. For some reason
it didn't spot any of the modules provided by
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20-15-generic . Perhaps this is due to
linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20-15-generic not being installed at the same time
the kernel...
This sounds like it's a one off so I'm going to close it for now but if
a kernel update comes out and this happens again _please_ reopen this
bug by setting the Status back to unconfirmed.
** Changed in: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20 (Ubuntu)
Status: Needs Info => Rejected
