Thanks for your work matt, I'm out of ideas on how to get useful informations on that issue though, it doesn't happen on any of the boxes I use and doesn't seem to impact most users so it's not easy to debug
dino99: unity-greeter is a gtk "software" running on the login screen with another user, there is no reason it should change things in the user session.
