Still effecting Apple Macbookpro (Core i5) 17 inch. Running 12.04 64bit. Installer via Live CD works, but after that nothing at all for vesa, radeon or fglrx drivers. Blank (LCD is lit but black) screen.
Could be one of these two: -that the mini DVI is the default output -the driver requires the bios to be available and EFI boot does not do this. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=26891 This bug is only effecting the newer MacBookPro's (i5) not effecting core duo older MacBooks. I am happy to any testing of patches etc..
