Could you check your syslog and see if you have any messages related to usb?
I'm also experiencing weird USB failures. I think it's the upgrade to kernel 3.0.0-14.23 that triggered these problems for me. Although my problem is not directly related to this bug (usb printer scanner not recognized) it comes out as another instance of usb issue that is difficult to diagnose, and related to linux only because all works fine on windows. For me the linux kernel has some major issues with usb, and it's been a while it has them. Once I could not even use ubuntu and had to switch to another distro. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/909511 Title: [USB-Audio - Creative USB Headset, playback] fails after a while / causes system instability To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/909511/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
