Under Unity on Ubuntu 11.10 64 bit desktop, the "Swicth User Panel App"
(upper right hand corner) does not work if your account comes from NIS.
It displays "Invlaid UTF-8" for the current user name. Also, if one
tries to edit their account information like name and icon, it fails.
