I'm running an Acer 5920 laptop. Wi-fi was good with 10.04. Recently wiped the drive and installed 11.04 Xubuntu, wi-fi horrible. Tried Mint 12, same thing.
Asked about it in this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1901351 I tried the work-around described, which apparently disables the "n" band functionality? We're on satellite internet, so it's never very fast, but after the modification to modprobe Speedtest.net gives me virtually identical results on Ethernet or wi-fi. We're running an old Linksys WRT54G router. Could that be part of the problem?? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/875780 Title: Wireless Very Slow - Intel Corporation PRO/Wireless 4965 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/875780/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
