Is this problem still occurring? If so, could you please attach your
/etc/X11/xorg.conf file, and the output from the following commands?
$ xprop -root | grep XKB
$ gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd
** Changed in: xkeyboard-config (Ubuntu)
Sourcepackagename: xorg => xkeyboard-config
Importance: Undecided => Low
Status: Unconfirmed => Needs Info
