Public bug reported:
trying to get sound working for vm's under precise. Precise seems to have all
the pieces needed for SPICE protocol, which looks to be an improvement. so to
get it working:
virsh edit w7vm1-netflix
to edit my windows 7 image, to change the binary invoked from
qemu-system-x86_64 to qemu-system-x86_64-spice
but then when I started the vm up with virt-manager, I got a dialog like so:
Error starting domain: internal error Process exited while reading
console log output: libvir: error : cannot execute binary /usr/bin/kvm-
spice: Permission denied
after reading /var/log/syslog... I went into
/etc/apparmor.d/abstractions/libvirt-bin to add entries for spice
support. (patch attached.)
I now have sound in my vm guests!
